NORTH BEACH, 100 Kewaunee St., is Wisconsin's first beach to be designated as a Certified Blue Wave clean beach by the National Clean Beaches Council and was most recently voted #4 in USA Today's 2016 Reader's Choice 10 Best Freshwater Beaches.
North Beach has also previously appeared within the Top 10 Family Friendly Beaches listed compiled by Parents magazine, was one of USA Today's 51 Great American Beaches, was featured in Midwest Living magazine, and nationally known expert Dr. Stephen Leatherman, nicknamed "Dr. Beach", honorably mentioned North Beach as being the most improved Great Lakes Beach. He cited North Beach's handicap ramps and summer community use as proof of the beach's pro-active management in his rankings of the Top 5 Great - Great Lakes Beaches. He also gave his nod to its impressive size of 50 acres along 2,500 feet of shoreline allowing visitors to spread out to play in the soft sand and cooling waters and has an impressive playground to add to the fun.
Needless to say, we are very proud to call North Beach ours.
