Household Bulky Item DOES NOT INCLUDE:

• Garbage Food Waste
• Yard Waste
• Recyclable Materials
• Construction Waste
  (Siding, Shingles, Household Fixtures, Structural Material, Concrete, Doors, Windows, Pallets Etc.).
• Regulated Waste
  I.e. Tires, Microwaves, electronics.
• Non-Freon White Goods
  Such as Washers, Dryers, Stoves, Ranges, Dishwashers and Hot Water Heaters.
• Freon Containing AppliancesSuch as Refrigerators, Freezers, Air Conditioners, dehumidifiers.

Household Bulky Item Disposal Options:

1. If you routinely exceed the capacity of the 95-gallon cart and (3) 42 gallon solid waste bags allowed, you may want to purchase an additional 95-gallon cart(s) for $61.25 or recycle cart(s) for $47.25 (tax included)  by calling the DPW Field Office at (262) 636-9126 to arrange payment and delivery. There is no charge for collecting solid waste from additional carts.
2. For small quantities of excess solid waste that exceed the capacity of your cart and (3) 42 gallon bags, you can hold these materials until the following weeks solid waste collection.
3. Sell, Donate, Reuse, or Recycle unwanted items.
4. Residential customers may bring bulky wastes to the Racine Transfer Station. Proof of residency is required when items are dropped off.
   Cost per bulky item is $25.
