Parks Information and Reservations
-
City of Racine PRCS is now accepting applications for public events.
Coronavirus Pandemic Public Event Policies
- Public event requests will be reviewed for compliance with CDC, state and local safety guidelines. City of Racine PRCS reserves the right to deny permits if public safety concerns exist.
- Per City of Racine ordinance, all persons are required to wear a cloth face covering in any outdoor public space when within six feet of any other person who is not a member of the person’s family or household.
- Per the Safer Racine ordinance, outdoor gatherings in a public space are restricted to 50% capacity or 100 persons on premise if social distancing of six feet can be maintained. Final approval will be determined by the PRCS Department.
- Renters are responsible for supplying personal protective supplies for event guests (hand sanitizer, disinfectant, masks, etc.).
- The City of Racine does not disinfect outdoor facilities or equipment.
Public Events Utilizing Parks & Pathways
All public events upon park grounds (this includes the use of the Lake Michigan and Root River Pathways) require permits. The PRCS Department strongly encourages all event organizers to begin the permit process a minimum of 180 days (new events) or 90 days (returning event) prior to your event. Advertising of public event locations is prohibited until the organizer has received all required permissions to hold the event.
Beginning in 2020 all public event permits (excluding those for Monument Square) include Malt Beverage Group Consumption Permit, Amplified Sound Permit, and 30 day Sign & Banner Placement Permit.
