SUMMER 2024 REGISTRATION FOR PRCS SUMMER PLAYGROUND PROGRAM OPENS ON MONDAY, FEBRUARY 26TH!

PRCS offers two summer playground programs at the City of Racine parks:
Registered Playground
Drop-In PlaygroundRegistered Summer Playground Program
The PRCS Registered Playground program provides kids with a fun-filled and memory-making summer experience through organized games, field trips, free play and weekly special events. It’s the best way for your child to spend their summers outside having fun, while making new friends. Registered Playgrounds is divided into four age groups: Kiddie Korner (Ages 4-6), Future (Grades 1-3), Play It Again (Grades 4-5), The Bigs (Grades 6-8). Each age group is supervised by two college students extensively trained as Playground Leaders. Children are required to be checked in and out by an authorized adult. Program Information:
June 24 – August 15, 2024
Monday through Thursday
2 available sessions:
8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- Kiddie Korner program begins 15 minutes later. (8:45 a.m. and 1:45 p.m. start times)
- Participants may register for both sessions.
City of Racine Resident Fee: $80 per session
Non-City of Racine Resident Fee: $115 session

- Registrations will be entered in the order received.
- Enrollment is not guaranteed until confirmation is received.
- Staff will arrange for payment returns if placement is not available.

- PRCS Cancellation Policy:
- PRCS will refund 80% of the registration fee for participant cancellations up to the start of the program (a 20% administrative fee is retained). No refunds will be issued once the program has started.

Traditional Drop-In Summer Playground Program
The Traditional Drop-In Playground program is a FREE weekly theme-oriented, non-registered program that runs 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. from Monday – Thursday for neighborhood children 7 to 14 years of age. Recreational activities, special events, games, inter-park sports competitions and field trips will be held. Please note: Unlike the Registered Playground programs where participants must checked in and out of the park, Playground Leaders do not monitor with whom, how, or when children come and go from playground in the drop-in program. Locations may be subject to change.
