The Racine Police Department Records Bureau is responsible for maintaining and updating department records and files, such as incident and accident reports. The Records Bureau also collects payments for warrants, traffic, municipal, and parking tickets, towed vehicles and fees for report copies.
Records Requests:
Requests for Records reports must be made in person. The copy cost for an Incident record is $1.35 plus $.25 each additional page. Copy cost for Police reports is $0.25 per page (most requests are less than $5.00).
High volume records customers can chose a quarterly billing option. Please contact the Records Supervisor for more information.
All records are reviewed by the Records Bureau Supervisor or designee prior to release. If the request is not permissible under the Open Records law, it will be denied. Reports will be redacted if required by law.
Please call the Records Bureau at (262) 635-7750 during normal business hours to verify the report is available for release.

Accident Reports:
The Racine Police Department is happy to announce that we have recently partnered with
Crashdocs.org powered by Carfax, simplifying the the process of obtaining vehicle accident reports from the City of Racine Police Department.Avoid traveling to the Police Department and waiting in line.
Reports will be:
- Available in up to 10 business days.
- Available for $1.50 each. (Same as coming into the Police Department)
To begin:
- Visit the
Crashdocs.org website - Select the State and Agency from the available fields
- Select the report you wish to purchase
- Follow the payment prompt
- Your report will available to you online
