We are currently working on the 2020 City of Racine budget, if you would like to follow along all of the meeting dates are posted below and open to the public.
All meetings will be shown live on BelleTV and streamed live via Legistar. To follow along online, click the meeting link below and click on the video link. (Only available once the meeting starts). Repeats are generally available by the following morning and can be watched online at any time.
Please note the Public Hearing period is on November 11th. If you would like to come and address the Common Council about the City Budget this is the best opportunity to be heard by the entire Council. You may of course contact your Alderman directly at any time.
The General Fund is the City's operations fund and supports services provided by the City. Other funds support specific services through grants or user charges.
The capital budget provides funding for the City’s major construction projects including building new facilities, improving our transit system, maintaining our roads and parks, and purchasing major equipment. The Capital Improvement Plan lays out anticipated projects for the next five years.
