Samuel Myers Park
Located: Corner of 11th Street & Pershing Park Park Hours: 6:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m.
Lifeguard Hours: No Lifeguards on duty
Amenities: Samuel Myers Park is one of
our lakeshore parks offering the tranquility and serene environment to become
one with nature, while allowing a limited number of recreational
activities. A non-motorized vehicle
launch enables canoes, kayaks, and paddleboards to be carried in. It is our only swimming beach that is not
tested and not guarded. Passive
activities such as bird watching are popular activities at this beautiful beach
with gazebo and scenic overlook. -

The Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services Department mission: to preserve our parks and open spaces and provide essential recreational programs and cultural services in a safe, professional, and friendly manner.
The department manages parks totaling over 1,100 acres, 5 community centers, and many other facilities to provide a wide variety of recreational opportunities.

Payment Information: PRCS accepts Visa and Master Card, cash, and checks for all registrations and program payments.
WPRA tickets may only be purchased with Visa or Mastercard, or a cash payment.
