Election Official Information
Election Officials
- The City of Racine utilizes 150 Election Officials for each election. Any qualified elector of the City of Racine may serve as an Election Official.
- Sec. 7.30(2), Wisconsin Statutes, provides that every election official shall be able to read and write the English language, be capable, be of good understanding, and may not be a candidate at that election.
Elections
- There may be 2 elections in the odd-numbered years:
Spring Primary (if required) and Spring Election
- There may be up to 4 elections in the even-numbered years:
Spring Primary (if required), Spring Election, Partisan Primary (if required) and General Election
Any qualified elector of the City of Racine that is interested in becoming an Election Official should contact the City Clerk’s Office at 636-9171 or visit Voteracine.org to apply.
