Pregnancy Testing & Birth ControlThe City of Racine Public Health Department offers pregnancy testing, emergency contraception, and birth control options. During your visit, in addition to the determination of pregnancy status (if applicable), clients will receive referrals for services. These referrals may include the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) Nutritional Program, the Racine County Home Visitation Network, Medicaid/BadgerCare, and contraceptive health services, as appropriate. |

Pregnancy testing is available through the Sexual Health Clinic by appointment only.
Free; there is no charge for pregnancy testing.
The Public Health Department now offers emergency contraception and birth control that are both safe and effective at preventing pregnancy.

There are two emergency contraception pills available in our Sexual Health Clinic. The medication you receive will be based on your individual health history and situation. Emergency contraception should be taken as soon as possible, and is effective up to 3-5 days after unprotected sex.
Things You Should Know
An injection/shot of progestin in the muscle of your arm or buttocks once every 3 months to prevent pregnancy.
