Health Insurance Changes

The information listed below is intended for Retirees enrolled in the Base Major Medical (BMM) plan only.
Your health plan has NOT changed.
The Medicare Part B reimbursement will be capped at $135.50 per month for retirees, retiree spouses, and retiree widows/widowers. The quarterly reimbursement amount is $406.50.
If your health premium amount is higher than the reimbursement, you will be invoiced for the balance. If you have a balance, the first invoice will arrive in February and will be due in March.
The 2nd quarter invoice will arrive in May and will be due in June.
The 3rd quarter invoice will arrive in August and will be due in September.
The 4th quarter invoice will arrive in November and will be due in December.
If you wish to pay for the year, please contact Human Resources at 262-636-9175.
If your health premium is lower than the reimbursement, you will be provided the balance into your direct deposit account. Medicare Part B reimbursements will be provided quarterly at the end of March, June, September and December. If you do not have a direct deposit account set-up with the City, please use the “Payroll Direct Deposit Form” form that is listed below, and mail that form to the Human Resources Department. The address for the Human Resources Department is; City Hall – Human Resources, Room 204, 730 Washington Avenue, Racine, WI 53403.
