Mpox
Mpox, formerly known as monkeypox, is a rare disease caused by the mpox virus. It can cause a rash which may look like pimples or blisters, sometimes with a flu-like symptoms as well. People have tested positive for mpox in Wisconsin, including some in the Racine area. Mpox does not spread easily from person to person, and the virus is spreading mostly through
close, intimate contact with someone who has the virus.
We offer vaccination, testing, and referrals to treatments to help contain the spread. Call us at 262-636-9431 for help scheduling an mpox vaccine appointment or for more information about testing.
